The young programmers meet again for the celebration of code, on Sunday 8th of October 2017 18.00-20.00, which will be hosted at BCA College in Athens. Within the framework of the European Horizon 2020 programme and the wider European Union Digital Single Market Strategy, the non-profit organization K.E.A.N. (Cell of Alternative Youth Activities ) during summer months, in collaboration with the EIT- European Institute of Innovation and Technology, implemented a series of workshops for digital coding skills for girls, in Attica and Peloponnese.
During the event, the KEAN President Mr. Stavros Milionis and the staff members will present the results of this pilot project and the EIT representative Mr. Laurent Roux will describe the strategy of the Institute regarding the awareness and training on digital skills of RIS(Regional Innovation Scheme) country students. The Mayors who hosted the workshops and Mrs Eva Kaili, MEP and Chair Scientific Foresight Unit #STOA Committee, will also be present as well as the staff of Google who will interact with the students through a brief competition of digital knowledge!
